Coverage
All products sold on trackiber.es are covered by two warranties that apply in parallel:
- Legal warranty for lack of conformity — 3 years (consumers). Set out in Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, amended by Law 4/2022, for all goods bought by individual consumers from 1 January 2022 onwards.
- Teltonika manufacturer commercial warranty — 24 months on the device, 6 months on the internal battery. This is the period declared by Teltonika in its general terms and reflected on every invoice issued by the manufacturer. It covers manufacturing defects and malfunction.
The term runs from the product delivery date. The invoice issued by Trackiber serves as the warranty document.
What it covers
- Manufacturing defects in components (GSM module, GNSS, internal backup battery, connectors, enclosure).
- Firmware malfunction not attributable to user configuration.
- Mismatches between the product and the description published on its page (consumers).
What it does not cover
- Damage caused by incorrect installation by unauthorised third parties (short circuit from bad wiring, knocks during installation).
- Tampering with the device (opening the enclosure, attempted firmware modification, removal of the tamper seal).
- Accidental damage (drops, exposure to liquids beyond the product IP rating, overvoltage).
- Natural wear of the internal backup battery. The manufacturer covers the battery with 6 months of warranty (the rest of the device, 24 months). After that period, battery replacement is invoiced as a repair.
- Cost of the SIM, data consumption or activation on the customer's platform.
How to start an RMA (warranty return)
- Initial diagnosis: write to info@trackiber.es with your order number, device IMEI (if applicable) and a description of the problem. Most useful: platform screenshots, logs if you have them, and photos of the install wiring.
- RMA confirmation: we will respond with the return number and the shipping address. Many cases are resolved remotely without returning the device (codec change, configuration adjustment, firmware patch via FOTA Web).
- Shipping: if the case requires a return, you ship the device with the RMA number visible on the package. If it is in warranty, return shipping is paid by Trackiber.
- Repair or replacement: the device is diagnosed, repaired or replaced by an equivalent unit in new condition. The average time is 10-15 business days from receipt, depending on complexity and availability in the Teltonika chain.
- Return shipment: the device is sent back to you with the change applied.
B2B warranty
For professional customers (company, freelancer with an invoice to a VAT ID), the 24-month Teltonika commercial warranty applies (6 months on the internal battery) but NOT the 3-year legal warranty (which is reserved by law for individual consumers). This does not affect product-defect liability, which is governed by the Spanish Commercial Code (hidden defects: 6 months from delivery).
Technical support during the warranty
Technical support is provided in writing in Spanish at info@trackiber.es. We cover:
- Initial device configuration (server, APN, codec).
- Resolution of communication issues with Teltonika-compatible platforms (Traccar, Wialon, Flespi, Fleet Complete).
- Advice on firmware updates via FOTA Web.
- Initial fault diagnosis before opening an RMA.
Support for advanced integration with custom systems (custom Codec 8/8E/16 parser, adapter development) is outside the scope of the warranty and is quoted case by case as a professional service.
