The Trackiber M2M SIM is a data card for GPS trackers with 500 MB that never expires, multi-operator coverage (Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo) and an APN preconfigured for Teltonika devices. One-time payment of €15, no monthly fee, no contract.
What an M2M SIM is
An M2M (machine-to-machine) SIM is a data card designed for automated devices —GPS trackers, sensors, telemetry— that send small packets of information to a server. It is not a mobile SIM with voice and SMS: data only, optimised for continuous reporting and with multi-operator coverage so the device always finds a network.
What this SIM includes
- 500 MB of data with no expiry: you pay once and use it at your own pace. On standard tracking (5-10 MB/month), it lasts 12-24 months.
- Multi-operator coverage in Spain and the EU: the SIM automatically picks the best network available (Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo). If one operator has patchy coverage in your area, the SIM latches onto another without you having to do a thing.
- Triple-cut format (Mini-SIM + Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) on the same card. Compatible with any Teltonika device in the range.
- Preconfigured APN and activation guide included in the pack. Just insert the SIM, power on the device and it starts reporting.
- No contract, no monthly fee, no surprises on the bill.
When it suits you
- Sole traders and businesses with a small fleet (1-10 vehicles), where managing SIMs operator by operator (sign-ups, number portings, monthly invoices) is inefficient.
- Low-reporting assets: trailers, machinery, boats, containers with an asset tracker. They report little, so the 500 MB last for years.
- Anyone who wants a single supplier for hardware + connectivity: you buy the tracker and the SIM on the same invoice, with unified technical support.
When it doesn't suit you
- Large fleets (50+ vehicles): if you already have a corporate M2M contract with an operator, the cost per MB is usually better on your contract. Write to us at info@trackiber.com if you want us to look at connectivity plans tailored to your fleet.
- Devices with very intensive reporting (cameras with continuous video, events every few seconds): 500 MB gets used up fast. For those cases a larger bundle suits you better — just ask.
Comparison with other options

Public data from each provider verified as of the publication date. For fleets of 50+ vehicles, the economics of a corporate M2M contract may beat the cost per MB of any of these options; ask us.
Compatible trackers
The SIM works with any Teltonika device in the range. The best-selling cellular models where it is commonly used:
- FMC920 — 4G best-seller for fleets, works right away.
- FMB920 — affordable 2G alternative for vehicles where 4G isn't needed.
- FMC003 OBD — plug & play, especially handy with a preconfigured SIM for immediate start-up.
- TAT240 — battery-powered 4G asset tracker, a perfect fit for a low-consumption M2M bundle.
- FTC880 — battery-powered tracker for assets without a power supply.
How it works
- You buy the SIM on its own or together with your tracker (by ticking the "Add M2M SIM 500 MB" checkbox on the hardware PDP).
- The SIM arrives in the same package as the tracker, die-cut in triple format (Mini/Micro/Nano).
- You break it out to the size your device needs, insert it into the tracker's slot and power on.
- The device connects automatically using the preconfigured APN. No extra steps: it starts reporting.
Coverage
Spain and the 27 EU countries. The SIM does smart roaming between operators and selects the best network at any moment. In Spain, full national coverage (all 2G/3G/4G LTE networks available). In the EU, roaming at no extra cost within the 500 MB bundle.
It doesn't work outside the EU — if you're going to operate outside the EU area (Morocco, post-Brexit United Kingdom, Switzerland, etc.), you need another SIM. Write to us before you buy.
APN and activation
The SIM arrives pre-activated and with the APN configured. In the pack guide we tell you the exact APN you need to enter into your Teltonika tracker (it depends on the model: on some FMCs it's configured via FOTA Web, on others with a USB cable and configuration software). The first connection may take 1-5 minutes while the SIM negotiates with the network.
Warranty and returns
Unused SIM in intact blister: return within 14 days of delivery, subject to Trackiber's returns policy.
SIM already activated and used: no returns (we can't resell a SIM with data already used).
If the SIM doesn't work from the first connection or is deactivated for a reason unrelated to usage (operator failure, technical issue), we send you a replacement at no cost.
Frequently asked questions
Does the SIM work in any tracker or only in Teltonika?
Technically it works in any M2M device that accepts a standard physical SIM. It is optimised and tested with the full Teltonika range (FMB, FMC, FMM, TAT, FTC, GH, TFT). If you have hardware from another brand, you can try it, but the technical support we provide covers Teltonika specifically.
What happens when the 500 MB run out?
The SIM stops transmitting data. There's no surprise on the bill because there's no recurring fee: reporting simply stops. You can top it up or ask us for a new bundle — write to us at info@trackiber.com.
Can I use my own SIM from any operator?
Yes, you can put whatever SIM you like in the tracker. Just make sure it has M2M data (not voice) and configure the operator's correct APN on the device. If you're bringing your own SIM, this page doesn't apply to you.
Why multi-operator and not Movistar/Vodafone only?
Because no operator has 100% coverage in every area of Spain, especially in rural and industrial zones. With multi-operator, the tracker latches onto whichever gives it the best signal at each point, without you doing anything.
Does the SIM have a phone number or a fixed IP?
It has an MSISDN (SIM number) and an ICCID (unique identifier), but no fixed IP. The tracker connects to your tracking platform's server using the dynamic IP that the operator's network assigns it at each moment.
Can I monitor the SIM's data usage in real time?
Not in real time, but we can check the remaining balance for you whenever you ask (email us with the ICCID). In the near future we'll expose it in a private customer area — if you're interested in that feature, let us know.
