The FMB920 is the 2G version of the FMC920: same form factor, same connector, same internal sensors. The only difference is the cellular module: 2G GSM instead of 4G LTE. That cuts unit cost while keeping all GPS tracking, eco-driving alerts and digital input/output capabilities intact.

Recommended use case: large fleets (30+ vehicles) where budget per unit is critical and tracking is basic — position every 1-2 minutes, geofencing alerts, hours-of-use control. The FMB920 covers 70% of fleet tracking scenarios at a much lower cost per unit than the FMC920.

Important to know: 2G coverage in Spain will be switched off between 2026 and 2030 depending on the operator (Movistar, Vodafone and Orange have public roadmaps). If your fleet plans to operate beyond 2027, we recommend going with the FMC920 4G — the saving per unit on the FMB920 can be lost when devices need replacing after the 2G shutdown.
